Lunch, fabulous dresses and cute cupboards......

We decided to go to one of our favourite restaurants this week, TIAMO in Carlton the food is always delicious...yummy chicken....

Chianti.....

grilled squid & salad....

Lilac out of my garden...l have been waiting all year, it seems for this to flower it smells divine....

Sweet little cotton gingham  B: 39" W: 33" H: 40" $45.

Oh and l found this old school storage cupboard it has a rail like a wardrobe but on one side it has two little shelves and above one it reads.....(see below)

So old school...he he he

sweet hinge detail....

This little sweety is a 1940's kitchen cupboard l think it would be great in a bathroom....

This has to be my favourite floral in the shop at the moment love the colour combination B: 44" W: 29" H: free $220.

This one is a close second it is a gorgeous grape print.....alas as l was putting it on the mannequin l had a moment with the zipper. It had been replaced with a nylon zip and nylon zips are notorious for being a little dodgy so off it goes to be fit with a new zip! B: 37" W: 30" H: free $220 .

This one is also pretty cute with matching belt it buttons up the front from the waist with an unusual pleat at the front closure...l love these floral prints they look like an oil painting....B: 33" W: 28" H: free $220.

The new slow magazine is now out and in our shop......this is a fabulous mag with loads of inspiration about slow living...

Hope everyone is having a great week

This one looks more like a muted mustard background with a faded blue/black patern over  it ....really stunning in the flesh....

small gingham is really flattering and i just love the floral trim....the outer fabric is all cotton with a polyester inner lining.....the back is where all the stretch is these lovely's are shirred right through the back with non-perishable rubber to withstand salt water and chlorine....they are truly flattering with many a customer wandering out of the fitting rooms in them...it is so refreshing to see ladies who normally avoid the water feel excited about having a cossie that compliments without clinging!!!!

Bangles, brooches & French finds......

all new this week....... beautiful mud swirl bakelite bangles, really love these colours because they go with everything! Lea Stein fairy brooch is really gorgeous...and Lea Stein lady bird brooch supposed to bring good luck.....Marie Pavone cat brooch, it's really hard to part with this one because it's so so adorable and that sweet Marie Pavone teddy brooch......

these old enamel teapots make great flower jugs......

a trio of brown bottles always makes a statement.....

the window display at the moment has a mixture of French watering cans, rustic painted stool, French oyster baskets  and of course an amazing French bust!

In the oyster baskets is some old flour and porridge sacks along with some French Hessian cushion covers between 60-80 years old! I can just imagine them filled with a feather pillows deluxe!

These sieves are from the 1920's and were used to transport baked items from the bakery to the patisserie...they look great hanging......or just stacked up.....

hope your having a fabulous week!
