just clownin around....

The other night l went to the supermarket and on my way saw that the circus had come to town! I was so excited l raced home to grab my camera and take a few pics...

Cheeky chickens, but first......

Just had to show you this male torso, he's from the 50's no less....a little rough around the edges but loads of charm. Sounds like someone l know he he he....

You may wonder why chickens are appearing on a blog about vintage? Well it's like this these chickens belong to my neighbours 2 doors down and on occasion they wander into my shop and scare unsuspecting customers! They never stay for long and are very friendly.....

They just love jumping up on the cumquat tree pot....

Anyway enough about the chickens just in these fabulous Bakelite bangles Chunky butterscotch, lime green, cherry red and root-beer they all sound good enough to eat but lovelier to wear.I have this fabulous book Vogue 10 decades of fashion and there is a great photograph of a Vogue correspondent in the late twenties  with bangles all the way up to her elbows on both arms!

Rustic table, lights and things.....

This little cutie arrived in store last week...after a bit of tweaking (sanding the top) it came up beautifully...

Hello Sandwich gift wrapping book.....So many cool idea's for  gift wrapping using everyday item's from around the house.....I really love giving and receiving  a gift that is thoughtfully wrapped ...so sweet!

Trouble lights are great for just hangin around just hook it and hang it!

New in the shop this week 2 1940's jackets to die for, 1960's fur collar jacket, silk 1950's dress with matching bolero and atomic print 1950's dress, unfortunately no pics...just before l go on July the 9th l celebrate my 1st birthday in the shop and l am planning to reward my lovely lovely customers...details will follow over the coming weeks...

Show me the way to go home.....

When l was just a wee girl l remember going to parties with the folks and at the end of the night everyone would sing that song, show me the way to go home l'm tired and l want to go bed l had a little drink about an hour ago and it's gone straight to my head la la la la on and on....So if you need to find your way home this Map of Australia C1960's might just be the thing!
